This is one of 2 songs that i wrote right before we started pre-production on the new album. I almost threw this song out before we started the album and now it has turned into a favorite of mine and the new single.
lyrics
Where do we go from here
the signs give no direction
and the only thing thats clear
is we could use some new distractions
to keep us from these lonely lives
that keep us holding onto broken ties
and maybe next time we'll get it right
before the worst gets started
but it ain't going over very well
with the broken hearted
and if we're calling it over
right here and now
at least we tried
well i think we've done enough
we've finally accepted that
we won't make this up
and go back the way we left it
no not with all thats been said and done
we were bound to break before we ever begun
and maybe next time we'll get it right
before the worst gets started
and it ain't going over very well
with the broken hearted
and if we're calling it over right here and now
at least we tried it
well it don't seem right
that we called this love
when it all blew up on us
cause if that we're right
and we both fell off
we would get back on it
well it ain't going over very well
with the broken hearted
and if we're calling it over
right here and now
at least we tried it
(repeat)
at least we tried
