about
I wrote this song back in early 2006. The Chorus line had been in my head for a while along with this image of a girl standing in the street like a "cliche" scene from a romantic comedy. I then strated wondering what the hell this girl was so upset about and thelyrics took care of that. Slowly over the course of a year or so i finally found the melody that went with the story i wanted to tell, and i fired up the mic to record the demo. Thus bringing you "So Cliche"
lyrics
So Cliche
Written by: Jay Broyer
wipe your tears aside
and let me buy you a drink tonight
roll back your defenses
this night's getting restless
we're running out of time
and slowly in we go
where nobody really knows your name
and they won't make you pay
you were looking so cliche
standing in the middle a silver screen rainy day
as the night draws to a close
she says she doesn't feel so cold anymore
not so alone anymore
well, its last call order it up
and we'll sing the blues until the sun comes up
cuz i know you have it in you girl
i saw you had it in you when you were....
chorus
and all i happen to believe
is that your putting it all on yourself girl your puttin it all on yourself
and all you should believe is that
somebody really needs your love out there
somebody needs your love right here
chorus
